WESTERN PARK

Public BBQ

Western Park wraps around Victoria Lake with a scenic walking circuit that takes roughly an hour at a leisurely pace. The lakefront path draws early morning dog walkers and evening joggers, with observation decks positioned along the water for watching the resident pelicans, impressively large birds that appear almost statue-like until they move. Facilities include multiple playgrounds, outdoor exercise equipment, a skate park, BBQ areas, picnic tables, toilets, and an amphitheatre. The park maintains its reputation as Shepparton's highlight, staying busy well into the evening while retaining a peaceful atmosphere. The canoe club operates from the lake's edge, and the abundance of birdlife creates a particularly scenic backdrop for picnics. Those seeking more active entertainment will find additional options just five minutes away.
